About The Position

We are seeking someone who is compassionate and detail-oriented to join our team and support healthcare professionals in providing top-notch medical services to our community. This is a job position that is responsible for coordinating and supervising all pharmacy services when the established, dedicated, Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist-In-Charge is not available to report to work. Scheduled working hours are intermittent and unpredictable. As a recognized patient-centered medical home (PCMH), every employee is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of quality, comprehensive patient-centered care as a member of the patients care team. By performing the job expectations described below you will be an active member of the care team thereby patients are assured access to team-based, coordinated, comprehensive, quality care.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of office procedures, practices and equipment
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of pharmacy business administration
  • Knowledge of functions, organizations and governing laws and regulations of pharmacy
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in the interpretation and application of the Company's policies and procedures
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization

Responsibilities

  • Supervises pharmacy staff including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Directs, coordinates and supervises all pharmacy activities
  • Works to facilitate and coordinate pharmacy operations
  • Participates/assists in procurement of drugs, supplies and equipment used in preparing and dispensing drugs
  • Perform duties of the clinical pharmacist as necessary
  • Maintains clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy by reviewing the literature and attending in-services, seminars, and conferences and documents continuing education activities as required by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy
  • Follows established channels of authority and communication throughout the organization
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures regarding pharmacy services
  • Any other additional duties that are reasonably requested
  • Other Duties as assigned.
