Requirements

• Licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, or eligible for Texas licensure, to be completed within 120 days of hire.
• 0-2 years experience in pharmacy services; hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrates high level of organizational skills.
• Demonstrates independent functioning.
• CPR Certification within 60 days of hire; PALS Certification is recommended for those that work in the Pediatric Pharmacy Satellite; ACLS Certification is recommended for those that work in Adult Critical Care Pharmacy Satellite.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
• Fills orders for medications and monitors patient’s drug therapies.
• Provides drug information.
• Supervises and directs supportive staff.
• Assumes essential responsibilities and performs the duties of the Director of Pharmacy in the absence of Pharmacy Management.
