About The Position

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor or Pharm D. degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • Registered pharmacist with current Oklahoma licensure.
  • Minimum two years hospital pharmacy experience or American Society of Health System Pharmacist Pharmacy Practice Residency
  • Able to interpret, assess, compound and dispense all pharmaceuticals.
  • Knowledge of appropriate drug information sources and general knowledge of word and data processing operations sufficient to perform data entry and generate appropriate reports

Nice To Haves

  • American Society of Health System Pharmacist Pharmacy Practice Residency preferred
  • specifically an ASHP accredited postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) residency in area of specialty preferred.
  • BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate drug information and ensure safe medication practices.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines and policies.
  • Conduct medication use evaluations and assess new drugs for formulary inclusion.
  • Lead ongoing education and training for pharmacy staff.
  • Collaborate with staff pharmacists to optimize drug monitoring, pharmacokinetics, and cost containment strategies.
  • Participate in committees to contribute to pharmacy practice and patient safety.
  • Perform duties of staff pharmacist and supervisor as needed.
