Our 24-hour pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department.   • Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
  • Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
  • Bachelor's degree at minimum; Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Pharmacy license active in North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • ASLS certification preferred.
