Job Description Summary: Critical Care Experience Preferred Clinical pharmacists at Grant Medical Center work in a progressive practice model where all pharmacists rotate through central pharmacy and 2-3 clinical areas. Pharmacy services are well integrated into the interdisciplinary teams across the campus and organization. Pharmacists in this position work a mix of day and evening shifts with every fourth weekend rotation and 2 major holidays per year commitment. JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for dispensing and compounding medication, counseling patients on medication and health subjects, interpreting prescriptions, managing patient drug therapy for complications, and performing drug utilization. They collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health-care practitioners to provide safe, high quality, and cost-effective drug therapy. Pharmacists will be required to serve as preceptors for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents in their area of training and expertise. - General Profile - Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
