About The Position

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville! This is a full time, various shift opportunity at our beautiful campus in downtown Jacksonville. This is a central operations role within the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The primary working hours and shift are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM with every fourth weekend required. This Pharmacist will be working in the central pharmacy checking patient orders, authorizations, and dispensing medications. This Pharmacist will be supervising technicians and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This is an opportunity to do hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and gain clinical experience.

Requirements

• A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.
• 1-2 years Hospital Pharmacy Experience.
• 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices.
• Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required.
• Registered Pharmacist Required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Licensed Pharmacist Required.

Nice To Haves

• In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred.
• PGY1 Residency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
