About The Position

The Pharmacist at Walgreens' Canal Winchester Micro Fulfillment Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of quality and service in prescription verification and pharmacy operations. This role involves independent and collaborative work with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient workflows, compliance with regulations, and optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authorities and maintains all required state licenses.
  • Experience working with confidential information.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Experience in developing ways to accomplish goals with minimal supervision and determining when to escalate issues.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, meeting quality standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of computer operating systems such as Intercom, Promise, and Plus.
  • Experience in a pharmacy fulfillment center or mail order site.
  • Experience motivating team members to research and resolve issues.
  • Experience using time management skills to prioritize, organize, and track details of multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fulfillment center pharmacist tasks including prescription verification and data review to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications.
  • Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications within pharmacy workflow.
  • Support the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assist the pharmacy team in optimizing financials, inventory management, and enhancing processes for safe and quality output.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy-related information technology systems to support pharmacy staff and promote productivity and quality.
  • Respond to requests for information and policy interpretation from pharmacy staff and leadership, providing effective feedback and coaching to ensure adherence to policies and processes.
  • Handle all questions and issues related to prescription fulfillment processes within the micro fulfillment center.
  • Follow guidelines and procedures to meet goals and adhere to company policies, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
