About The Position

The Pharmacist at Rite Aid is responsible for assisting customers with their healthcare needs, maximizing health outcomes through prescription filling, providing clinical services, and offering advice on therapies. This role involves supervising pharmacy associates and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
• Doctorate Pharm.D. (Preferred)
• Pharmacist License in the state practicing pharmacy (Required)
• Immunization Certification (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)

Responsibilities

• Engage customers seeking guidance on pharmacological and non-pharmacological options for health condition management using provided clinical tools.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services based on state regulations, including adherence support, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing (POCT), and prescriptive authority.
• Leverage products and services to benefit customers and build profitable retail business and script growth.
• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
• Provide appropriate patient care through in-person, telephonic, or digital means, collaborating with providers and patient care teams.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager with the supervision of the pharmacy by providing leadership to pharmacy associates and supervising their training.
• Handle and resolve customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Complete company required certifications, education, and training, including Whole Being Health and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department.
• Ensure that Standard Work is followed for performing activities or processes.
