About The Position

The Pharmacist at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry is responsible for providing pharmaceutical services in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role involves compounding, dispensing, and preserving medications while ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations. The position is critical in supporting the health and safety of residents within the forensic center.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
  • Full Michigan licensure to practice pharmacy.
  • One year of professional experience as a Pharmacist (for level 10).
  • Two years of professional experience as a Pharmacist (for level P11), including one year equivalent to a Pharmacist 10.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a forensic or correctional healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of mental health medications and their management.

Responsibilities

  • Independently provide pharmaceutical services under regulatory guidance.
  • Compound, dispense, and preserve drugs and medicines.
  • Ensure compliance with CFP Pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical services provided.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
