About The Position

Researches and adapts methodology, conducts pharmaceutical data collection and analysis, and prepares reports for client-based research. The Zeeh Pharmaceutical Experiment Station, within the School of Pharmacy, is a not-for-profit center of expertise serving faculty researchers across the UW-Madison campus as well as private sector pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical product development and drug delivery.

Requirements

Proficiency in HPLC analysis and method development
Experience with aseptic technique inside a biosafety cabinet
Experience with training developing scientists on lab equipment and processes
Experience with GLP documentation practices
PhD in pharmaceutical science, chemistry or, related field

Nice To Haves

Experience with USP regulatory guidance
Experience with outreach to internal and external partners
Experience with pharmaceutical and drug delivery instruction

Responsibilities

Reviews and edits research protocols under general supervision
Help manage material inventory by ordering supplies as needed and documentation of material receipt according to SOP
Prepares reports and materials and disseminates information to appropriate entities
Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures
Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership
Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures according to client-based objectives and specifications
Document daily receipt of samples, and prepare corresponding word documents for notebook documentation
Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations, research protocols, and techniques within a specialized laboratory or research area
