About The Position

Researches and adapts methodology, conducts pharmaceutical data collection and analysis, and prepares reports for client-based research. The Zeeh Pharmaceutical Experiment Station, within the School of Pharmacy, is a not-for-profit center of expertise serving faculty researchers across the UW-Madison campus as well as private sector pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical product development and drug delivery.

Requirements

• Proficiency in HPLC analysis and method development
• Experience with aseptic technique inside a biosafety cabinet
• Experience with training developing scientists on lab equipment and processes
• Experience with GLP documentation practices
• PhD in pharmaceutical science, chemistry or, related field

Nice To Haves

• Experience with USP regulatory guidance
• Experience with outreach to internal and external partners
• Experience with pharmaceutical and drug delivery instruction

Responsibilities

• Reviews and edits research protocols under general supervision
• Help manage material inventory by ordering supplies as needed and documentation of material receipt according to SOP
• Prepares reports and materials and disseminates information to appropriate entities
• Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures
• Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership
• Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures according to client-based objectives and specifications
• Document daily receipt of samples, and prepare corresponding word documents for notebook documentation
• Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations, research protocols, and techniques within a specialized laboratory or research area
