The Pharmaceutical Trade Sales Representative for is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing food and drug chains, regional drug wholesalers, and growing a network of independent pharmacies. This role will also focus on dealing directly with Physicians that write a high level of antibiotics. Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving revenue growth through strategic account management and product education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic areas and drug regulations.
  • Prior food, drug, wholesale, and independent pharmacy purchaser relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Serve as the primary liaison for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with the purchasing teams of the food, drug, and wholesale teams.
  • Will attend appropriate trade shows and pharmaceutical meetings.
  • Sales Growth: Will be required to maintain existing customers’ portfolio of products.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product adoption within existing accounts.
  • Execute upsell and cross-sell strategies for the company’s pharmaceutical portfolio.
  • Compliance & Education: Ensure all interactions comply with FDA, HIPAA, and company guidelines.
  • Provide accurate product information and clinical data to clients.
  • Customer Support: Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve issues related to product availability, pricing, and delivery.
  • Will work closely with the Director of Customer service.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and support.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track account performance and prepare detailed sales reports.
  • Analyze prescribing trends and market data to anticipate customer needs.
