About The Position

As a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist at AstraZeneca, you will play a crucial role in promoting life-changing medicines within the US BioPharma Primary Care team. Your focus will be on engaging healthcare professionals, educating them about clinical evidence, and driving sales performance in the Cardiovascular Metabolic Disease (CVMD) and Respiratory therapeutic areas. This position requires a strong understanding of the market and the ability to develop strategic business plans to enhance patient care and sales outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• A valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Knowledge of the medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry, preferably in Respiratory and/or Cardiovascular Metabolic Disease therapeutic areas
• Prior sales experience
• Demonstrated effective organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capability
• Results-oriented with effective time management skills
• Ability to learn and convey complex information.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the pharmaceutical sales industry
• Familiarity with clinical data and product efficacy/safety profiles

Responsibilities

• Develop superior product and disease state knowledge to educate healthcare professionals.
• Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and budgets meet or exceed expectations.
• Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information for the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Director and District Sales Manager to develop local strategies and business plans.
• Capitalize on formulary approvals and implement Strategic Targeting Plans effectively.
• Provide special education to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca's ethical guidelines.
• Coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists.
