The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative plays a crucial role in promoting and selling Kowa's pharmaceutical products within a defined geographic territory, primarily centered in Hilliard, OH, and extending to Columbus, Delaware, Springfield, and Hillsboro. This position is responsible for achieving maximum sales goals while maintaining profitability. The Representative serves as the primary contact for customers, executing marketing strategies as directed by the District Manager. In this role, the Representative will manage their territory by planning daily sales calls, utilizing analytical skills to identify potential customers and targets from digital data. They will independently drive a company vehicle to meet with physicians and pharmacists, demonstrating Kowa's marketing and sales tools using a digital tablet or other devices. The Representative will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of product samples and marketing materials, which may require working in various weather conditions. A key aspect of the job involves providing comprehensive clinical knowledge of Kowa's products and effectively communicating their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals. The Representative will schedule and participate in informational lunches and dinner programs, engaging with speakers to enhance the understanding of disease states and treatments among physicians and other medical professionals. Additionally, they will record all visits made to healthcare professionals and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and company policies. The position requires a strong independent work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to efficiently manage time and set goals. The Representative must also uphold organizational values and maintain a professional appearance while conducting their duties.
