About The Position

The EVERSANA/Iterum Therapeutics Pharmaceutical Sales Representative will achieve territory sales goals by promoting ORLYNVAH™ to physicians as well as other medical personnel within their assigned geography. The Representative will educate physicians and office staff on the use, characteristics, advantages, indicated treatments, distribution process and all other developments related to promoted products. The Representative will professionally represent our client in the field and ensure high levels of visibility and customer satisfaction in the territory. This position is responsible for achieving both territory product sales goals and territory sales activity goals through company defined metrics. Our partner, Iterum Therapeutics has developed and obtained U.S. FDA approval of ORLYNVAH™ the first and only oral penem antibiotic, approved for the treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infection(s) (uUTI) caused by certain bacteria (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, or Proteus mirabilis) in adult women who have limited or no alternative oral antibacterial treatment options. Iterum is building a world-class, high-performance commercial team that has a winning mindset to bring this important new treatment to patients and physicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • 2 - 4 years of successful pharmaceutical selling or relevant medical sales experience as evidenced by historical performance rankings in previous organizations.
  • Experience executing total office call in a primary care or specialty setting.
  • Experience calling on Primary Care, Urology, OB/GYN, Infectious Disease strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge in the antibacterial/infectious disease therapeutic area industry preferred.
  • Experience leveraging knowledge and expertise to build strong relationships with HCPs, pharmacies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to understand disease states, patient profiles, and treatment pathways to articulate and routinely present clinical information.
  • Proven track record of documented sales success which includes meeting or exceeding territory performance goals and achieving national levels of recognition.
  • Prior experience promoting newly launched products(s), strongly preferred.
  • Consultative patient-centric selling experience.
  • Strong understanding of product flow through Specialty Pharmacy, strongly preferred.
  • Possess strong presentation, organization, administrative and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross functional environment while maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Solid motivational and persuasion skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in utilizing and optimizing CRM systems in support of territory dynamics.
  • Ability to travel (to include overnight) as required.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations.
  • Effectively promote and educate targeted physicians/HCPs on the use of ORLYNVAH through one-on-one meetings and group presentations, company-approved promotional speaker programs, and other company-approved means.
  • Work 5 days in the field each week, supported by office time as needed for call planning, customer follow-up, preparing presentations, making appointments, report generation, etc.
  • Ensure high performance levels of call and field productivity.
  • Meet call plan expectations and achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations.
  • Execute company-approved product marketing plans and territory/regional business plan activities.
  • Support targeted customers using company-approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities/programs/ initiatives as identified by sales management.
  • Ensure territory sales strategy execution using annual territory business plan, regional business plan, and call activity reports.
  • Accurately report/submit sales call activities, territory expenses and written reports in a timely function and within deadlines defined by leadership.
  • Attend all company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed by sales leadership.
  • Balance territory and regional work and projects while maintaining solid level of sales performance.
  • Exhibit solid level of skill in competencies.
  • Demonstrate sales influence within territory.
  • Travel as needed throughout the territory (to include overnights) to see targeted HCPs as required by call plan.
