About The Position

The Health Science Advisor (HSA) at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. plays a crucial role in enhancing patient care through a new customer engagement model. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in rare disease, oncology, hospital, or renal disease.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and drive customer engagement.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial and qualitative targets.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, competitive marketplace.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to create customer engagement plans.
  • Self-starter with expertise in clinical selling, account management, and matrix collaboration.

  • Experience in consultative selling techniques.
  • Familiarity with the nephrology market and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a territory-specific business plan with the ecosystem lead, focusing on strategies to increase disease-state awareness and meet sales goals.
  • Work collaboratively in a matrix environment with patient support, medical science liaisons, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize tools and resources to address unmet clinical educational needs effectively.
  • Navigate the healthcare landscape to identify opportunities in academic institutions, IDNs, ACOs, and private practices.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of disease and therapeutic areas relevant to the role.
  • Employ a consultative selling approach to meet the needs of healthcare professionals treating ADPKD patients.
  • Manage the full lifecycle sales process across various product portfolios.
  • Attend local, society, and industry conferences to represent Otsuka.
