About The Position

The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for the CVRM Primary Care Team at AstraZeneca is responsible for driving sales performance and engaging healthcare professionals in discussions about clinical evidence and product efficacy within the Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic Disease therapeutic area. This role requires a strong understanding of the market and the ability to develop and implement local strategies to increase sales while adhering to ethical guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Driver's license and safe driving record
• Knowledge of the medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry, preferably in Cardiovascular, Renal, or Metabolic Disease therapeutic areas
• Prior sales experience
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities
• Results-oriented with effective time management skills
• Ability to learn and convey complex information.

Responsibilities

• Develop superior product and disease state knowledge to educate healthcare professionals.
• Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts and budgets.
• Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to create local strategies and business plans.
• Capitalize on formulary approvals and implement Strategic Targeting Plans effectively.
• Provide special education to healthcare providers within ethical guidelines.
• Coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists.
