About The Position

The Health Science Advisor (HSA) at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. plays a crucial role in the new customer engagement model aimed at enhancing patient care and healthcare provider (HCP) interactions. This position focuses on delivering high-quality experiences through proactive outreach and engagement with HCPs, utilizing a variety of digital and in-person tools. The HSA will serve as the primary contact for HCPs, providing them with essential information about products, patient care protocols, and facilitating connections with Clinical and Scientific Specialists (CSS) for deeper clinical insights. The role emphasizes collaboration within a cross-functional team to ensure a seamless customer experience and to drive local market strategies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience.
  • Must reside within commutable distance of 50 miles of the primary city in the sales territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or related industry.
  • 4 or more years' experience working in a sales role with HCPs, ideally representing multiple products.
  • Clinical nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) experience highly valued.
  • Proven track record in coaching, training, and mentoring peers.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive outreach to healthcare providers (HCPs) on product access and on-label information.
  • Engage customers through various virtual and digital tools, ensuring their requests are met and feedback is collected.
  • Facilitate speaker programs and organize local provider discussions on experiences and outcomes.
  • Elevate opportunities and feedback to the ecosystem lead, informing local strategy and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues in Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support to enhance customer engagement.
