About The Position

The District Business Manager for Pharma Field Sales at Novo Nordisk is responsible for developing and leading sales teams to execute strategies that enhance profitability and meet sales objectives. This entry-level managerial position involves managing a regional sales force, training staff, and preparing business plans in collaboration with the Regional Business Director. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree, and/or Pharm D required.
  • 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience required.
  • Previous people management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business and build strategies reflecting marketplace trends and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities to engage individuals and teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead sales teams in executing sales strategies to increase profitability.
  • Manage, train, and develop staff while preparing regional budgets and business plans.
  • Ensure compliance with the Prescription Drug Marketing Act and Novo Nordisk policies.
  • Monitor and reinforce the use of the Sales Force Automation System.
  • Communicate regional activity of competitive products through monthly highlight reports.
  • Develop and monitor performance against regional budgets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of administrative requirements.
  • Establish and oversee regional implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate appropriate use of regional resources to meet profitability goals.
  • Review and audit expense reports.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of Novo Nordisk products and management skills through training programs.
  • Execute regional account targeting strategy to fulfill business unit requirements.
  • Manage customer needs assessments and identify program/service requirements.
  • Monitor performance against strategic account management objectives.
  • Oversee regional account relationship development and management.
  • Develop a full understanding of the regional business plan and execute it to meet objectives.
  • Ensure coordination to attain regional business plan objectives.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met for the region regarding physician calls.
  • Gain insight into programs and initiatives by collaborating with various stakeholders.
