About The Position

The District Business Manager I for Coastal Plains (Charleston/Savannah) is responsible for developing and leading sales teams to execute sales strategies that enhance profitability and meet sales objectives. This entry-level managerial position involves managing a sales force, training staff, and collaborating with the Regional Business Director to achieve business goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Pharm D required.
  • 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience required.
  • Previous people management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business and build strategies reflecting marketplace trends and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities to engage individuals and teams effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in diabetes care or related therapeutic areas.
  • Familiarity with sales force automation tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead sales teams in executing sales strategies to increase profitability.
  • Manage, train, and develop staff while preparing regional budget and business plans.
  • Ensure adherence to the Prescription Drug Marketing Act and related company policies.
  • Monitor and reinforce the use of the Sales Force Automation System.
  • Communicate regional activity of competitive products through monthly highlight reports.
  • Develop and monitor performance against regional budgets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of administrative requirements.
  • Evaluate appropriate use of regional resources to meet profitability goals.
  • Review and audit expense reports.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of Novo Nordisk products and management skills through training programs.
  • Execute regional level account targeting strategy and manage customer needs assessment.
  • Oversee regional account relationship development and management.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met for the region, including physician call quotas.
