About The Position

The Diabetes Sales Team at Novo Nordisk is responsible for leading the US sales efforts for a comprehensive portfolio of cardiometabolic products, including therapies for diabetes and obesity. The role involves implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively promote these products to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and office staff, while maintaining a focus on compassion and patient needs. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a deep understanding of the local healthcare landscape to drive business success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Pharm D required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service, or Military.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel) required.
  • Proven leadership and decision-making ability.
  • Solid understanding of diabetes disease state and Novo Nordisk's products.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant Novo Nordisk experience preferred.
  • Prior experience using sales data/call reporting software ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.
  • Analyze local payer market conditions and their impact on customer decisions.
  • Tailor account plans based on stakeholder business practices.
  • Develop and implement plans to build and maintain business-relevant relationships with customers.
  • Utilize analytical tools to evaluate territory business opportunities and create business plans.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement plans and ensure accountability.
  • Manage discretionary territory budget and marketing promotional program budget.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of diabetes and Novo Nordisk's products.
