About The Position

The Diabetes Care Specialist (DCS) at Novo Nordisk is responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively promote the company's portfolio of diabetes and cardiometabolic products. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and understanding the local payer market to tailor approaches that drive business impact. The DCS collaborates with internal teams and utilizes analytical tools to develop territory business plans, ensuring that the latest therapies reach those in need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Pharm D required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service, or Military preferred.
  • Relevant experience with Novo Nordisk preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel) required.
  • Self-starter with decision-making ability and minimal supervision.
  • Solid understanding of diabetes disease state and Novo Nordisk's products.

  • Experience with sales data and call reporting software.
  • Proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across functions to share knowledge and business opportunities.
  • Implement the Novo Nordisk Way selling model with external customers.
  • Evaluate territory business opportunities and create business plans.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accountability.
  • Control samples and manage territory budget in accordance with company policies.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of disease states and treatment options.
  • Participate in sales and marketing meetings, training programs, and conventions.
