About The Position

Phantom Works has an exciting opportunity for a Program Management - Experienced Business Operations Specialist to join the Business Operations Team in Berkeley, MO. The newly formed Phantom Works Business Operations Team is focused on enabling Program Excellence, Data Driven Decision Making, and Optimization & Efficiency initiatives across the division. The Phantom Works Experienced Business Operations Specialist will report to the Phantom Works Chief of Staff and work closely with the Business Operations Lead. As a key contributor on this team, this position will play an important role in enabling our programs to succeed in delivering on critical commitments to our customers. This role offers the unique opportunity to help programs successfully implement Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs), execute the Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP), drive technology maturation efficiency, prototype development schedule adherence, and advanced technical performance across the Phantom Works portfolio. By partnering closely with business analytics and program teams, this position will optimize operational excellence through effective management of key performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with Program Management and/or Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and/or direct reports
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data and developing metrics to track performance to plan for a business/organization
  • 3+ years of experience with end-to-end project/program management: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project closeout
  • 3+ years of experience building and presenting plans to executive leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Currently possess a Program Management Professional certification - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification OR Program Management Institute (PMI) certification
  • Experience in Program Management Best Practices (i.e., Requirements Management, Resource Management, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, Financial Oversight, Earned Value Management (EVM), Program Performance Management, Supplier Integration, RIO (Risk, Issue, Opportunity) Management, Program Communication, Senior Leadership Reviews, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Business Operations Team Lead, supporting strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned
  • Supports implementation of Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) on multiple programs
  • Supports Program Start Up and Earned Value Management (EVM) execution and compliance with Program Management
  • Provides Program Management Best Practice (PMBP) guidance and support across BDS
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project plans, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
  • Coordinates commitments and communications with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategic initiatives
