About The Position

The PGA Associate will be responsible for ensuring and enhancing first class customer service at all times to our Members and their guests. The PGA Associate will support day-to-day operations in the Clubs Golf House, practice facilities, support of the instruction team, club fitting and club repair, golf shop operations, and special events.

Requirements

• The PGA Associate must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Physically, the PGA Associate must be able to perform the job including playing golf.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• This position requires the ability to climb stairs, and the ability to lift 35 lbs or more.
• Squatting and bending frequently.
• Ability to tolerate all seasonal weather conditions.
• Must have a solid golf background understanding what private club experience is about.
• Must be actively pursuing PGA membership and in good standing with the PGA of America.

Nice To Haves

• Active participation in the PGA program preferred.
• Currently enrolled in PGA level 1 preferred.
• A college degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets members and guests upon arrival into the Golf House.
• Assists members and guests with golf clubs, golf bags and golf equipment.
• Provides professional, attentive and proactive service through the members’ experience in the Golf House and at the practice facility.
• Assists the Club fitting staff with golf grip inventory control monthly.
• Assists members with the technology experience in the Golf House.
• Ensure member golf bags are staged in the Golf House prior to any lessons, fittings, and member practice sessions.
• Responsible for transporting golf bags to and from the Golf House, practice range, short game area, bag drop, and cart facility .
• Responsible for keeping practice ball supplies at an adequate level in the Golf House.
• Responsible for opening and closing shifts in the Golf House.
• Assisting the Golf Operations team with opening and closing the Golf Shop as needed.
• Models’ exceptional sportsmanship while providing warm, personal, and professional service. The PGA Associate will represent Charlotte Country Club’s mission and team member values.
• Assist in ladies’ clinics, junior golf clinics, and camps.
• The PGA Associate will play golf with a variety of members in competitive and non-competitive situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
