About The Position

The PG Specialty Claims Adjuster is responsible for handling marine, auto, property, and general liability claims. This role involves inspecting losses for adjustment parameters, reviewing claims, and meeting with clients. The adjuster will attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed, while retaining and monitoring the activity of outside adjusters/appraisers and other experts. Communication with management and the underwriting team on larger, more complex claims is essential. The adjuster will investigate, evaluate, and negotiate the resolution of complex claims, working in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of general liability insurance claim experience, specialty claims insurance adjustor experience, or a combination of both.
• High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required; college degree preferred.
• Requires claims adjusting license in all operating states.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of working with specialty and general liability claims.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Ability to analyze complex problems involving varying viewpoints and to develop viable solutions.
• Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to handle larger and more complex claims.
