About The Position

This role works in a fast-paced production environment within an automated Central Fill Pharmacy. The primary function involves packaging prescriptions into totes for delivery after accuracy verification. The position requires working as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a pleasant work environment, while also adhering to strict department and company guidelines regarding personal hygiene and dress. The role also involves maintaining confidentiality of customer medical information according to HIPAA.

Requirements

Must be 18+
Ability to follow written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions; several concrete variables
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
Possess the ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy data from one record to another; interview to obtain basic information; guide people
Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company
High School Diploma or equivalent
Visual requirements include vision at 20 inches or less with or without correction, field of vision, and color vision
Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen

Responsibilities

Places prescription bags into a tote for delivery to the patient or retail pharmacy, once accuracy has been verified by a pharmacist
Swaps totes between waves
Verifies prescriptions in totes for shipping accuracy
Assists with loading completed totes into courier vehicles
Places totes in all locations along sorter line
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
Prepares the paper work and compiles medicine for delivery orders and mail-outs at the request of the department manager
Cleans, empties garbage, etc.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
Keeps pharmacy supplies well-stocked
Adheres to company policies and guidelines
Assists in other areas of Fulfillment Center as needed
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required
