About The Position

SPATCO is looking for a full-time salesperson role at SPATCO Energy Solutions. As we continue our growth in Gonzales, LA, we're seeking a professional Salesperson in the area that will be responsible for selling convenience store construction projects, fuel installation packages and retail fuel equipment associated with convenience stores.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of sales success and meeting sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry or related field is preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales management software
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present and sell products/services to customers
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and goals
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • 5 years of previous experience and track record
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Experience developing and managing relationships with customers
  • Prepare and present sales presentations
  • Develop, negotiate and deliver customer proposals
  • Work closely with customers and internal SPATCO teams to identify best solutions to meet the customers’ needs
  • Establish positive working relationships with several internal SPATCO teams to ensure on time/on budget delivery of customer’s project(s). i.e. sale support, service, credit collections and construction
  • Product knowledge specific to our industry and/or a demonstrated experience in prior jobs learning new product lines/business is required
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with vendors
  • Thorough understanding of the retail petroleum marketplace and what factors influence the market and customer decisions
  • Identify sales gaps within the territory and create plans to fill the gaps and drive incremental market share growth
  • Prepare and submit reports (e.g. sales reports, expense reports, and territory business plans)
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Stay up to date on new technologies, market events/conditions affecting the industry and ultimately grow company’s market share and revenue within the assigned territory
