About The Position

Performs responsible and safe construction duties related to removing and/or installing underground and above ground petroleum storage and dispensing systems. Learns directly from senior installers, project managers, managers and consultants in the field.

Requirements

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the workforce, preferably the construction industry is preferred.
  • HAZWOPER 40 certification, State-issued CDL-A, State-issued UST installer license preferred but not required.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Able to perform manual labor, heavy equipment inspection and operation and basic administrative tasks using mobile devices.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines from senior Installers in the field to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under close supervision.
  • Primary job functions periodically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Must have the ability to travel overnight over 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Install tanks, piping and other equipment and assists in testing after installation.
  • Removes and disposes of old equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklift, and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties.
  • Learn the trade of petroleum systems installation from Installers, Project Managers and Managers while working in the field.
  • Complete all required training including HAZWOPER40 and LMS-assigned hazard training.
  • Learn to complete all paper work and mobile application updates to project progress.
  • Attend all required training to obtain a state-issued Installer's license.
  • Maintain safe operations on every job site by following directions from Installers and managers.
  • Lead by example by donning the appropriate PPE and operating in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Has the authority to stop work on a site if an unsafe practice is observed and is obligated to do so.
  • Other duties as assigned.
