The PET Representative will perform the necessary tasks to schedule an appointment successfully while serving as a resource for the internal and external customer groups.

  • Schedule appointment.
  • Acquire the necessary information to perform the exam, submit a claim and receive reimbursement.
  • Confirm appointment date and time with patient.
  • Order FDG once appointment has been confirmed and all insurance information, authorizations etc. are in place.
  • Responsible for processing, cataloging and filing all fax router files received.
  • Maintain and respect confidentiality for all customer groups.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Excellent communication, data entry and PC skills - including the internet.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology and medical office procedures helpful.
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Detail and multitask oriented.
  • One year medical office experience desirable.
  • Two years of medical billing experience and knowledge of insurance required.
  • Medical office experience and/or associates degree in Health Care Administration preferred.
