The PET Representative will perform the necessary tasks to schedule an appointment successfully while serving as a resource for the internal and external customer groups.
Schedule appointment.
Acquire the necessary information to perform the exam, submit a claim and receive reimbursement.
Confirm appointment date and time with patient.
Order FDG once appointment has been confirmed and all insurance information, authorizations etc. are in place.
Responsible for processing, cataloging and filing all fax router files received.
Maintain and respect confidentiality for all customer groups.
High School Diploma.
Excellent communication, data entry and PC skills - including the internet.
Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology and medical office procedures helpful.
Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
Detail and multitask oriented.
One year medical office experience desirable.
Two years of medical billing experience and knowledge of insurance required.
Medical office experience and/or associates degree in Health Care Administration preferred.
