About The Position
The Pet Pro position at New Tampa Pet Resort is designed for individuals who are passionate about animal care and customer service. This role is integral to our mission of 'Pet Lovers Delighting Pet Lovers,' and it requires a commitment to embodying our core values of being Playful, Passionate, Personal, and Professional. As a Pet Pro, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our furry guests, which includes dogs, cats, and small exotics. You will work in both the Daycare and Boarding areas, providing attentive care and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for all pets in our facility. In this service-oriented role, you will engage with pets through play, exercise, and basic obedience games, while also monitoring their health and behavior. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing pet enclosures, ensuring that all guests receive appropriate food and water, and maintaining a safe environment by supervising play activities and managing any potential conflicts among pets. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' well-being and building lasting relationships with our clients. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a team environment. You should be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and be prepared for the physical demands of the job, which may include lifting up to 60 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
