About the position

The Pet Playtime Coordinator at Pet Paradise is responsible for organizing and managing daytime play groups for dogs at the Lake Buena Vista resort. This role involves ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for pets while providing excellent customer service and maintaining play areas. The position offers opportunities for career advancement and various training programs in pet care and management.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, ensuring a safe level of play.
• Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention among all dogs in the playgroup.
• Minimize stress levels of all dogs in the playgroup and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors appropriately.
• Control levels of play by following procedures and instructions provided by management.
• Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• True passion for working with animals.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
• Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to handle dogs up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
• Flexibility to work according to resort schedule needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in animal care or related fields.
• Knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques.
