About The Position
As a Pet Nail Tech at Pet Supplies Plus, you're pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your workday, you will perform quick services for all pets including paw package, nail trims and file, ear cleaning, nail polish, and paw wax application. You will attend our free, paid training through the world-renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming for Nail & Ear tech program. Your role will also involve recommending the perfect shampoo to make a dog's coat shine, polishing the nails of our feline friends, and reviewing and comparing the ingredient labels of several food brands for concerned cat parents. Additionally, you will stock shelves, ring up neighbors' purchases, feed all the furry pets, and ensure their cages are spiffy, all while engaging with PSP neighbors and smiling in the face of puppy breath. A Pet Supplies Plus Pet Nail Tech will likely do it all, but may specialize in areas such as dog wash attendant duties, restocking supplies, completing laundry tasks, processing neighbors' purchases, providing Preferred Pet Club membership information, safely unloading delivery trucks, stocking shelves, providing care for pets in the store, and answering neighbors' questions on animal care. All Pet Nail Techs support each other by acting as back-up when extra help is needed. The Nail Tech Team Member position can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65 lbs) and standing for long periods of time. Being knowledgeable about animals and our products in order to provide outstanding neighborly service is a must. We support learning through our interactive Pet Degree pay-for-knowledge programs.
