About The Position

Nemacolin's Wooflands Pet Care facility is currently seeking a Groomer to join the team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service to our guests and their owners, demonstrating leadership, enthusiasm, strong physical stamina, determination, and a willingness to learn. A genuine passion for the pet care profession is essential. Candidate must be able to deliver quality customer service to our guests and their owners by possessing leadership, enthusiasm, good physical condition, determination, and willingness to learn, and have a genuine interest in the Pet Care profession.

Requirements

Perform dog and cat brush and baths, mini and full grooms
Bathing and clipping dogs to conform to a variety of breed-specific standard styles
Using proper bathing techniques and using appropriate shampoos and coat conditioners
Detangling and removing matted hair
Drying the coat
Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
Perform nail trimming and grinding
Cleaning the ears
Expressing anal sacs
Brushing teeth
Using all grooming and bathing equipment competently
Clean grooming salon and holding rooms
Be in good physical condition
Requires handling of animals over 90 lbs.
Must be able to stand or sit for 5 hours or more
Candidate must be able to lift over 50 lbs.

Perform nail trimming and grinding
Recognizing various skin conditions and reporting them to Owner
Using proper bathing techniques using appropriate shampoos & coat conditioners
Use all grooming and bathing equipment competently
Maintain grooming equipment
Clean grooming salon and holding rooms
Bathing and clipping dogs to conform to a variety of breed-specific standard styles
Detangling and removing matted hair
Drying the coat
Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
Cleaning the ears
Expressing anal sacs
Brushing teeth
