Requirements

• Previous experience in pet grooming is required.
• Familiarity with animal care practices, including knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming needs.
• Experience in customer service roles is highly desirable to enhance client interactions.
• Skills in heavy lifting may be necessary when handling larger animals or moving equipment.
• Background as a veterinary assistant or in animal care roles such as kennel attendant, pet sitting, or equine care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for a variety of pets.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
• Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns.
• Assist in handling pets safely during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
