About The Position

University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year. University Radiology is looking for a full-time PET/CT Technologist for our new Toms River, NJ Imaging Office to work Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Join us as we launch our newest office! This is a unique opportunity for an a PET/CT Technologist to be part of our opening team and help build a high-quality, patient focused service from the ground up! Our PET/CT Technologists perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment, such as PET scanners, to create images of the body's internal functions and structures. Key responsibilities include preparing and administering radioactive drugs to patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining equipment and radiation safety protocols. May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.

Requirements

  • NJDEP State License and CPR Certification
  • ARRT(CT) or NMTCB/CT for Fusion Modality
  • A minimum of two years experience
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB(N) Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Siemens Biographe PET/CT experience preferred
