When you join RadNet as a PET/CT Technologist Trainee, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes. You Will: Participate in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging which includes a 10-week training period: Enrolling in an online CT program We will cover all Expenses for the online program! 3-4 days/week onsite CT training 1-2 days/week covering NM/PET Fully trained and licensed within 14-16 weeks Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner. Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision. Observes and assists with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable). Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks. Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines. Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures. Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process. Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role. If You Are: Current Nuclear Medicine or PET Technologist seeking to become certified in CT. Passionate about patient care and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations. You demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, guests & colleagues. You have a structured work-approach, understand complex problems and you are able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification
  • State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
  • Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.
