About The Position

Why M Physicians? The Center for Clinical Imaging Research (CCIR) offers state-of-the-art imaging equipment for both clinical and research purposes. This high-tech equipment helps provoke the invention of new and innovative ways to treat patients through the creative advancement of imaging. What you will do as a CT Technologist: Performs PET/CT imaging studies, completes communication of pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the examination. as ordered by physician, provider, or principal investigator according to approved procedures. Conducts PET/CT scans on animal patients. Performs injections as necessary to exam and follows sterile techniques and procedures during IV administration. Utilizes and troubleshoots peripheral research equipment. Works with radiologists, residents, principal investigators, research coordinators, and other health care team members, to ensure all concerns are addressed and protocols are up to date. Ensures all imaging protocols for each individual research study are performed consistently to the research specification. Builds PET/CT research protocols. Prepares patients for PET/CT exams, coordinates exams and organizes care plans to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. Documents initial and ongoing data, responses/results or interventions consistent with established policies/procedures/guidelines along with any equipment concerns and/or malfunctions. Documents all pertinent research information into CMRR systems. What you will need: Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited Radiology Health Sciences program with an ARRT or NMTCB registration CT ARRT certification required within 1 year of hire 1+ years of PET/CT or Nuclear Medicine emphasis. Requirements
