About The Position

As Pet Caretaker at Mars, you will work in a team environment to provide daily care and management for the pets. This is a Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM shift, with weekend rotation every 3rd month including holidays.

Requirements

• Experience interacting with dogs and cats.
• Knowledge of animal health and management issues is preferred.
• Experience with basic grooming and training is preferred.
• Required to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performing animal behavior and obedience training following the Mars Standards, including implementing behavior modification plans, training for research activities, and support for rehoming.
• Implementing environmental enrichment, exercise, socialization and grooming programs in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Evaluating pet health (both mental and physical) for any veterinary and/or enrichment needs.
• Assisting the Health Care Team in treatment and research collections as needed.
