Charleston Dog Walker is hiring a remote Pet Care Operations Manager to oversee and support our weekday pet care operations. This role is for someone who brings steadiness, judgment, and pride to their work — and for whom animals are not a side interest, but a meaningful part of life. You’ll be trusted to manage daily operations, support our pet care team in real time, and communicate thoughtfully with clients, all while ensuring pets receive safe, attentive, and professional care. This role is for someone who stays calm and grounded when multiple things happen at once, can quickly assess what matters most, and moves situations forward with steady judgment and clear follow-through. You are the weekday operational lead for Charleston Dog Walker. You hold the schedule, support the team, and ensure that issues — whether staffing-related, client-facing, operational, or pet-care related — are handled calmly, correctly, and completely. You work independently, make thoughtful decisions in gray areas, and understand both how to resolve situations on your own and when collaboration or escalation is the right next step. This is an on-call leadership role , not a fixed shift. While the workload averages approximately 20 hours per week , this role requires consistent availability and responsiveness during service hours (7:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Monday–Friday). Most work happens in short, focused bursts throughout the day, along with a few scheduled work blocks.
