About The Position

Medical Veterinary Service is ready to hire a Pet Care Attendant to care for our animals and support our veterinary technician and doctor teams. Our Pet Care Attendants play an integral role in providing comfort to our patients and ensuring proper organization and cleanliness in our hospital. Knowledge of routine animal care, such as feeding, walking, and bathing, as well as the readiness to care for scared or injured animals, are among the skills we are looking for in this opportunity. Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Patient and caring personality
• Ability to follow instructions properly
• Comfortable being around animals (cats & dogs)
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)

Responsibilities

• Walks dog
• Cleaning cages/runs and keeping the kennel area organized and free of safety hazards
• Feeds pets in the kennel
• Maintains the overall cleanliness of the kennel area
• Cleaning examination tables and exam rooms between exams
• Administering oral medications prescribed by Veterinarians
• Observing animal behavior/health conditions and reporting changes to the technicians or doctors
• Keeping accurate records and logs
