About The Position

Sugarloaf Animal Hospital is Hiring a Pet Care Attendant! We are seeking a part-time Pet Care Attendant at Sugarloaf Animal Hospital to help us provide the best care for pets staying with us.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with animals
• Knowledge of basic pet care and behavior
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and securely
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and provide updates on patients’ well-being
• Reliable transportation
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Attention to detail and cleanliness

Responsibilities

• Walking pets outside in various weather conditions
• Cleaning and sanitizing dog runs/cages and cat cages
• Feeding and watering pets on various schedules
• Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kennel area and the main parts of our hospital.
• Bathing pets
• Monitoring pets for any signs of illness or distress and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff member
• Medicating boarders according to their specified schedules
• Helping veterinary staff with handling patients for exams, diagnostics, and treatments
