About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.) Candidates must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to perform all types of general pet care duties. Candidates with prior pet care experience are preferred. Candidates with basic computer skills are preferred. Candidates will be organizing and maintaining daily pet activities. Frequent standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and carrying are required. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs and possess a valid driver's license. The schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays; you must be available for all shifts. Provide daily pet care. Cleaning of facility and kennels and cat condos. Performing daily pet activities and answering “pet check” calls. Communicate with the front desk to review check-ins and check-outs and activity schedules. Have excellent customer service skills and be involved in the check-in/check-out procedure with guests. Other job duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Candidate must be able to speak English. Candidate must have high energy level for playing with, and entertaining dogs and cats. Candidate must be able to do heavy cleaning and lifting. Candidate must possess basic computer skills. Must possess a High School Diploma 0-2 years of experience in the pet care industry is required. Must have a willingness to learn. Have a genuine interest in the pet care profession. Have a high energy level for hiking, playing with, and entertaining dogs and cats. The schedule includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidate must be able to speak English. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as through recreational experience.
