Position Overview: As a Pesticide Applicator at Barnes, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and vitality of our clients' landscapes. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient application of pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments to protect and enhance the beauty of our outdoor environments. This is a full-time, year-round position. During the winter months, team members are expected to support our Snow Removal division as needed to maintain full-time, year-round status. This position offers an exciting opportunity for candidates who enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and share our dedication to preserving the natural world.

Requirements

  • Valid pesticide applicator's license or certification (Willing to train if you do not have one)
  • A valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of pesticide application techniques and safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and responsible with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly is required.
  • Ability and willingness to perform snow removal work during winter months to maintain full-time, year-round employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately apply pesticides and herbicides to control pests, weeds, and diseases.
  • Monitor and assess landscape conditions, identifying potential issues and recommending appropriate treatments.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate application.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to protect yourself and the environment.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to achieve our clients' landscaping goals.
  • Keep accurate records of pesticide applications and report findings to supervisors.
  • May also perform lawn aerations and other various duties.
  • Support snow removal operations during winter months as needed (plowing, shoveling, de-icing, and/or related duties), including work during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call weather events
