About The Position

The Pest Prevention Technician is responsible for identifying, treating, and preventing pest infestations in our facilities. This role involves applying pest control products, setting traps, and performing pest prevention methods. The technician plays a crucial role in maintaining safe and hygienic environments while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid state pest control license
Knowledge of common pests and effective treatment methods
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in entomology, biology, or related field
1-2 years of experience in pest control or related industry
Certifications in specialized pest control areas (e.g., termite control, fumigation)
Familiarity with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles

Responsibilities

Inspect properties to identify pest problems and potential entry points
Develop and implement pest control plans
Apply pesticides, set traps, and use other pest control methods as appropriate
Educate leaders on pest prevention techniques and maintenance practices
Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and client interactions
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control
Perform follow-up visits to assess treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed
Maintain and properly use pest control equipment and supplies
Stay informed about new pest control technologies and methods
Respond to emergency pest control situations as required
Collaborate with team members to share best practices and improve service quality
Other duties as assigned
