About The Position

This position is designed for someone who desires minimal supervision, a change of scenery each day, and wants the power to impact their own earnings. Technicians drive a company truck to and from work each day. The ideal candidate easily interacts with people, has a strong work ethic, and integrity. The position starts at $18.00/hour for the first 90 days of training, after which the pay structure is based on production and performance. Good performers quickly earn $20+ per hour, with first year earnings estimated at $42,000-$45,000, and veteran technicians making $50,000 and more. BUG ZERO INC, locally owned and operated for over 35 years, has perfected a pest elimination solution for homes and businesses in the Ozarks, with offices in Springfield and Cape Girardeau, MO. A typical day involves leaving home in a company vehicle and going straight to the first customer. Technicians inspect properties, explain pest control principles, prescribe solutions, and treat homes or businesses. They build trust with recurring maintenance customers, submit accurate work orders on a company-issued iPad, and maintain their service vehicle, equipment, and materials. Technicians meet new people daily, helping protect properties from pests, and drive their company vehicle back home. Work hours are Monday-Friday, with varying start and end times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years with an acceptable driving record
  • A commitment to safety
  • Ability and willingness to work in various areas and conditions, including crawlspaces, attics, and in all types of weather
  • Ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, and crawl
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical ability test, and background screening
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance
