About The Position

The Personnel Security Specialist will manage and implement the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program at the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic. This role involves leading a team, evaluating eligibility for access to classified materials, and providing guidance on security policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.

• Experience in planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating security programs.
• Experience communicating security policies and procedures to personnel and management.
• Experience screening and rendering decisions on granting personnel access to sensitive and classified material.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Special Security Representative (SSR) responsible for the day-to-day management of the SCI program.
• Lead a team of 2 military personnel by planning and directing work assignments and establishing priorities.
• Evaluate eligibility for access to classified material up to Top Secret/SCI and all special access programs.
• Provide guidance and instruction to security assistants in administering an effective SCI Information Security Program.
• Formulate and administer the Command SCI Education Programs, including formal training classes for employees and managers.
• Conduct orientation and indoctrination briefings and interview personnel regarding security clearances.
