About The Position

The Personnel Security Specialist position at the Department of Defense (DCMA Headquarters) involves providing technical and administrative guidance on personnel security issues. The role is responsible for ensuring the completion and submission of Electronic Application (eAPP) forms to appropriate investigating agencies, tracking derogatory case actions, and developing educational programs related to the Agency Security Program. This is a term position with a not-to-exceed date of January 31, 2027, and is open to U.S. citizens.

Requirements

• Three years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01 or GS-04 grade level.
• Experience determining security investigative requirements for federal civilian employment, processing electronic questionnaires for investigations, and processing security clearance determinations.
• Education from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and administrative guidance on all personnel security issues.
• Ensures Electronic Application (eAPP) forms are completed and submitted to appropriate investigating agencies to support security clearance requirements.
• Tracks derogatory case actions ensuring the mandated correspondence between the adjudication facility, DCMA Security Office, and the case subject are submitted in the required timeframe.
• Develops and presents educational programs dealing with all phases of the Agency Security Program.
