Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist Associate I to support KABS and our government customer in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act. This position is to aid the personnel security program and work related to the human resources requirements for federal security requirements in hiring Federal and Contractor personnel. The contractor performs tasks within the PSSA job category below: Responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of the personnel security program including procedures, processes and directives set forth by the Agency and the Office of Personnel Management: Uses automated systems to obtain and transmit fingerprint results, background investigation, case initiation, reports and findings. Uses electronic filing and database applications to maintain and provide many of these services. Instrumental in the implementation and use of electronic or manual systems to enable timely background investigations of employees, contractors, volunteers, students, etc. Reviews background investigation forms for accuracy and completeness before releasing a packet for security clearance. Rejects forms or returns documents that do not satisfy the stated requirements. Maintains a database that accurately reflects timely submission of cases, fingerprints, and reports, to document favorable or unfavorable adjudications of background investigations. Communicate regularly with managers, supervisors, and staffing specialists, notifying them when an applicant has been cleared through the process. Serves as the point of contact to aid applicants throughout the clearance process. Aids the PSSA program to make timely preliminary suitability or eligibility determinations on applicants applying for positions. Does fact- finding and collects additional information from applicants, appointees, and employees when it is necessary to decide or recommend a suitability determination. Consults with appropriate management officials when there are suitability issues and seek their input when there are borderline cases for hire or retention. Notifies supervisor when it is known that the employee refuses or delays the completion of the eQIP process. Serves as the main point of contact for contractors in the process of obtaining both ink and electronic fingerprints for submission to investigation agencies for background investigations. Assists with providing training to the field staff to ensure their understanding of their responsibility and accountability with regards to fingerprinting. Schedule: 8 hours per day Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am CST to 5:30 pm CS
