About The Position

The Personnel Security Specialist (Adjudicor) position at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing involves managing and directing personnel security and loyalty programs in compliance with relevant Executive Orders and regulations. The role requires conducting complex adjudications of background investigations and employee misconduct inquiries, ensuring the reliability and trustworthiness of employees and contractors in sensitive positions.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, including analyzing investigative findings and writing actionable adjudicative summary reports.
• For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level, including analyzing results of investigative findings and writing non-actionable adjudicative summary reports, or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
• For GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, including gathering background information for adjudicative determinations, or a Master's degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in federal security clearance processes.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex and sensitive public trust and national security adjudications of background investigations.
• Perform employee and contractor misconduct investigations and worker's compensation fraud investigations.
• Prepare factual and analytical adjudicative reports, identifying and evaluating issues relevant to adjudication.
• Initiate and develop additional investigations arising from original assignments.
• Provide final written adjudicative summary reports of investigative findings and determinations.
• Review, evaluate, and adjudicate reports of investigation and personnel security files.
