This position advances the mission and philosophy of FMD and serves as a key partner to the central office of Human Resources. The incumbent fosters a culture of accountability, professionalism, and respect while aligning with the department and university’s goals. This position reports to the Executive Director of Customer and Business Services with a dotted line to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources serving as the Human Resource Business Partner for FMD. This position is responsible for the management and oversight of human resource functions including talent acquisition, labor and employee relations, performance management, and training within FMD. This position supports operations across two campuses, serving over 325 employees, including approximately sixty management employees and three distinct collective bargaining units, reflecting a high level of organizational complexity. This position leads the assessment, development, and continuous improvement of programs and support services for FMD. Facilities Management and Development (FMD), a unit within the Administration and Finance Division (A&F), is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance, and repair of university facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. FMD consists of four critical and interdependent support departments spread across two separate locations, including Customer & Business Services; Energy, Utilities, & Sustainability; Facilities Planning & Capital Projects; and Facilities Operations.
